2 tablespoons butter
1 cup Swiss cheese, sliced
1/2 cup sautéed mushrooms
Spicy Jalapeño Popper Grilled Cheese:
2 slices of white bread
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
2 tablespoons cream cheese
1 jalapeño, sliced and seeded
Fig and Brie Grilled Cheese:
2 slices of French bread
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup Brie cheese, sliced
2 tablespoons fig jam
BBQ Pulled Pork Grilled Cheese:
2 slices of Texas toast
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup BBQ pulled pork
Apple and Gouda Grilled Cheese:
2 slices of whole wheat bread
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup Gouda cheese, sliced
1/2 apple, thinly sliced
Spinach and Artichoke Grilled Cheese:
2 slices of focaccia bread
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup spinach and artichoke dip
Directions:
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
For each sandwich, butter one side of each bread slice.
Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, in the skillet.
Add the cheese and additional ingredients of your choice on top of the bread in the skillet.
Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
Cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-5 minutes per side.
Serve immediately and enjoy your fancy grilled cheese creation!
