Step 1: Make the Dough
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
Gradually add warm water and olive oil, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. (Alternatively, use a stand mixer with a dough hook for 5-7 minutes.)
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
Step 2: Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Step 3: Shape the Dough
Punch down the risen dough and roll it out into a rectangle (about 12×8 inches) on a lightly floured surface.
Transfer the dough to the prepared baking sheet.
Step 4: Add the Toppings
Brush the surface of the dough with melted butter.
Sprinkle the minced garlic evenly over the butter.
Generously top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
Step 5: Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 18-22 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden around the edges.
Step 6: Garnish and Serve
Remove the cheesy bread from the oven and let it cool slightly.
Sprinkle fresh parsley on top if desired.
Slice into strips or squares and serve warm.
Tips:
Shortcut: Use store-bought pizza dough or baguettes for an even quicker version.
Cheese Variations: Try adding cheddar, Gouda, or your favorite cheese blend for a twist.
Dipping Sauce: Pair it with marinara, ranch, or garlic butter for dipping.
