Cherry Pie Bars

Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spray a 15x10x1-inch baking pan with non-stick spray to prevent sticking.
Cream Butter & Sugar: In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until the mixture becomes light and fluffy.
Add the Eggs: Beat in the eggs one by one, ensuring each egg is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in both the vanilla and almond extracts for a boost of flavor.
Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture into the butter and sugar, blending until fully combined and smooth.
Assemble the Bars: Spread about 3 cups of the batter evenly across the bottom of your prepared pan. Then, spread the cherry pie filling evenly on top. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining batter over the cherries.
Bake: Place the pan in the oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If using a smaller pan (9×13-inch), extend the baking time slightly.
Cool Completely: Let the bars cool on a wire rack to ensure the texture firms up.
Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, almond extract, and milk until smooth.
Drizzle & Serve: Once the bars have fully cooled, drizzle the glaze over the top. Let it set before cutting into squares and serving.
