1. Prepare the Avocado Mousse:
In a blender or food processor, combine the avocado, lemon juice, yogurt, olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
Blend until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning to taste. Set aside.
2. Prepare the Smoked Salmon Layer:
In a bowl, combine the chopped smoked salmon, capers, dill, and lemon zest. Mix gently to combine.
3. Assemble the Mousse:
Use small glasses, ramekins, or molds for an elegant presentation.
Spoon the avocado mousse into the bottom layer of each glass, filling about halfway. Smooth the surface with the back of a spoon.
Add a layer of the smoked salmon mixture on top of the avocado mousse. Gently press down to compact the layers.
4. Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the assembled mousses for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Just before serving, garnish with a sprig of fresh dill and a lemon wedge. Serve with crackers or toasted bread.
